Black Futsu is an heirloom from Japan, and has a smooth texture and sweet, chestnut flavor. The fruits are flattened, round and heavily ribbed, with an average weight of 2-4 lbs. Fruits are small but prolific with many per plant. The skin turns from greenish-black to a beautiful orangish color with a bluish-grey bloom on the skin when mature. Grown organically but not certified.
