We got this nice hulless oat from Joseph Lofthouse at the Organic Seed Grower's conference in 2018. This was a seed selection project he worked on for many years with a collaborator (Amber), who originally brought this hulless oat to the seed garden. Selecting for less-shattering, taller plants, and easier threshing, over time they improved this variety.


We have trialed many hulless oats and have not yet found one that is completely hulless. We appreciate the work these two have put in on this variety and look forward to continuing that work.
